NSA releases PIN codes for 6,867 nurses and midwives for 2026 27 service year

The National Service Authority has released PIN codes for 6,867 nurses and midwives for the 2026 27 national service year.

The release took place on January 19, 2026. The PIN codes enable eligible nurses and midwives to enroll for national service.

The Authority generated the PIN codes after receiving an official list from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. The list reached the Authority on January 16, 2026. It covered candidates who passed the March April 2025 licensing examinations under the minor season.

Eligible nurses and midwives must visit the National Service Authority website. Applicants must access the portal and retrieve PIN codes using student ID numbers and dates of birth.

The Authority announced a mandatory registration fee of GHC41.00. Applicants must pay the fee through mobile money across all networks to access the enrollment platform.

The enrollment exercise started on January 19, 2026. It ends on January 23, 2026. The Authority urged all prospective service personnel to complete registration within the stated period.

The National Service Authority also reminded the public of the legal requirement for national service. Ghanaian citizens aged eighteen years or older who complete accredited tertiary institutions must undertake national service. The law applies to universities and nursing training colleges under the National Service Authority Act, 2024.

The press release carried the signature of the Director General, Ruth Dela Seddoh. The Authority reaffirmed commitment to an orderly and timely enrollment process for the service year.
