The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has officially released the revised academic calendar for all public colleges of education in Ghana for the 2024/2025 academic year. Key Dates and Activities

1. Orientation for Level 400 Students

Date: 11th – 15th November 2024

Activity: Final-year students will report to campus for orientation, preparing them for their macro teaching experience.


Remarks: This marks a crucial phase as these future educators transition to practical teaching.




2. Macro Teaching

Date: 15th November 2024 onwards

Activity: Level 400 students will move to their respective schools of attachment for the practical macro teaching exercise.


Remarks: This hands-on experience is integral to their teacher training journey.




3. First Semester for Levels 100, 200, and 300

Date: 27th January – 18th April 2025

Activity: Students in Levels 100, 200, and 300 will report to campus to commence the first semester.


Remarks: With a 12-week session planned, students are encouraged to focus on their studies and extracurricular growth.




4. End of First Semester Examinations

Date: 21st April – 2nd May 2025

Activity: Examinations for Levels 100, 200, and 300 students.


Remarks: This two-week period is critical for assessments and finalizing the semester’s work.




5. Semester Break

Date: 3rd May – 14th June 2025

Activity: A well-deserved break for Levels 100, 200, and 300 students.


Remarks: This six-week vacation provides an opportunity for rest and preparation for the upcoming semester.




6. Second Semester for All Students

Date: 16th June – 5th September 2025

Activity: Levels 100, 200, 300, and 400 students will return to campus for the second semester.


Remarks: Notably, Level 400 students will stay off-campus as they continue their macro teaching.




7. End of Second Semester Examinations

Date: 8th – 19th September 2025

Activity: Final examinations for all levels.


Remarks: Students should prepare to showcase their learning and progress.




8. End of Academic Year


Date: 20th September 2025


Activity: Conclusion of the academic year.


Remarks: This date officially closes the 2024/2025 academic activities.
