PRINCOF Releases Revised Academic Calendar for Public Colleges of Education (2024/2025)



The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana (PRINCOF), has officially released a revised academic calendar for all public Colleges of Education for the 2024/2025 academic year. This adjustment follows recent developments in the sector and aims to streamline academic activities for students across all levels.


Key Dates and Activities


The updated calendar highlights essential academic events, including reporting dates, examination periods, and vacation breaks.


First Semester


18th – 21st March 2025: Level 400 students report to campus for orientation towards macro teaching.


21st March 2025: Level 400 students depart to their respective schools for macro teaching.


27th January – 18th April 2025: Level 100, 200, and 300 students report to campus for the first semester (12 weeks).


21st April – 2nd May 2025: First semester examinations for Levels 100, 200, and 300 (2 weeks).


3rd May – 14th June 2025: Semester break for Levels 100, 200, and 300 (6 weeks of vacation).



Second Semester


16th June – 5th September 2025: Level 100, 200, 300, and 400 students report for the second semester (12 weeks). However, Level 400 students will remain outside campus for macro teaching.


8th – 19th September 2025: End of second-semester examinations for all levels (2 weeks).


20th September 2025: End of the academic year (vacation).



Aligning Academic Plans with the Revised Calendar


This updated calendar is essential for both students and faculty members to effectively plan their academic activities. Level 400 students, in particular, should take note of the adjustment in their reporting date for macro teaching orientation, which is now scheduled from 18th to 21st March 2025.


All students are encouraged to adhere strictly to these new schedules and make the necessary preparations to ensure a smooth academic year.
