A baby dumped in a bush found alive

A new-born baby boy has been rescued after his mother dumped him in a forest at Kososan in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region.

A report gathered by Nyankonton mu Nsem revealed that the mother of the child, after delivery, quickly went into the forest, dumped him, and went back home.

The eyewitness who also rescued the baby disclosed that she was on her farm with her daughter during a downpour when she heard the cry of the baby.

She said they had to quickly follow the path where the cry of the baby was coming from, and to their surprise, they discovered the baby alive.

According to her, she had to quickly inform the chief of the area and some residents who joined her in rescuing the baby.

A ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag containing some clothes was also found at the scene of the incident.

The baby was then sent to the Ekwamasi Clinic for treatment.

An investigation is currently ongoing to identify the baby’s mother.
