2025/2026 Ghana Military Academy Enlistment – Entry Requirements Explained

General Eligibility Requirements
Before applying, you must:
1. Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
2. Be of good character and have no criminal record.
3. Be physically fit and medically healthy.
4. Be between 18 and 26 years for Regular Officer Cadets.
5. Be between 18 and 30 years for Short Service and Professionals.
6. Have a minimum height of:
1.68m (5ft 6in) for males
1.60m (5ft 4in) for females
7. Have an active Ghana Card.
Education Requirements
You must have at least one of the following:
BECE: At least 6 credits including English and Mathematics.
WASSCE: At least 6 credits (A1–C6) including English, Mathematics, and Science.
SSSCE: 6 credits (A–D).
GCE O-Level & A-Level: With 2 passes at A-Level.
NVTI or Technical certificates (where applicable).
Regular Career Officer Course (Army, Navy & Air Force)
Applicants for the Regular Career Course require:
A first degree from a recognized university with a Second Class Lower or better.
Degrees must match the specific corps or branch you wish to join.
