By Sir Muba (a.k.a. Feeeeeeeeeeeeewoeni)
As a teacher trainee, I had the opportunity to serve and learn at Foso Methodist B Basic School during my off-campus teaching practice. It was there I witnessed, firsthand, the silent struggle many dedicated teachers and trainees go through in preparing student report cards—particularly when it comes to filling in the School-Based Assessment (SBA).
What should be a smooth, routine task often turns into hours of manual calculation, cross-checking, and paperwork. With the increasing workload and limited time, this process becomes not only stressful but prone to errors. I saw teachers stay after school, skip breaks, and sometimes postpone their own responsibilities—just to get the SBA records right.
That experience stayed with me.
As someone passionate about both education and technology, I knew something had to change. I asked myself, "What if we had an app to automate all of this? What if we could make SBA entry simple, fast, and accurate?"
And that’s how the SBA Assistant App was born.
What the SBA Assistant App Does
The SBA Assistant App is a mobile tool designed specifically for basic school teachers and trainees in Ghana and beyond. It helps you:
Convert raw scores into SBA-appropriate scores
Automatically calculate positions and averages
Access built-in grading systems
Prepare SBA records accurately and efficiently
Use a clean and intuitive interface, no internet required
Whether you're a seasoned teacher or a trainee just starting out, this app is designed to save you time, reduce stress, and let you focus on what truly matters—teaching and supporting your students.
Special Thanks
I wouldn’t have come this far without the unwavering support of my mentor, Sir Bawa, whose guidance and encouragement pushed me to turn this idea into reality.
To all my students at Foso Methodist B—you were the inspiration behind this. Your dedication and curiosity reminded me why we do what we do as teachers.
This app is for you, and for every teacher who stays up late trying to make sense of SBA tables.

“Feeeeeeeeeeeeewoeni” may sound like a chant, but to me, it’s more than that—it’s a reminder of energy, identity, and enthusiasm I bring into the classroom every day. It’s a shout of motivation, a call to rise above limitations, and a celebration of creativity in education.
