CETAG to Hold Press Conference Today to Address Strike Action

The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) is holding a press conference today, July 22nd, 2024, to clarify their ongoing strike action. The event will be held at Wesley College in Kumasi at noon.

CETAG represents teachers in Ghana's colleges of education and has been fighting for better salaries, working conditions, and professional development opportunities for its members. They believe the strike is necessary to get these issues addressed.

CETAG leadership, including President,Mr. Price Oteng Himah  and Acting National Secretary , Mr. Thomas Amponsah wants to use this press conference to speak directly to the public and educational stakeholders. They believe transparency is key during this critical time.

The media's presence is important because it will help amplify the voices of educators and the issues they are facing. CETAG hopes this will lead to wider support for their cause.

The association is urging all educators, parents, students, and policymakers to come together to find solutions that benefit both teachers and students.

This press conference is a significant event that could impact the future of teacher welfare policies in Ghana. By staying informed about the developments, you can contribute to a broader conversation about improving education standards in the country.

Please consider attending the press conference to show solidarity with educators and support a better future for Ghana's education system.
