Former pornstar Deyci Alejandra Omaña Ortiz, popularly known by her stage name Amaranta Hank, has officially been sworn in as a parliamentarian in Colombia after winning a seat in the country's March parliamentary elections.
Omaña will represent Colombia's Norte de Santander region in Parliament as a member of the left-wing Historic Pact coalition for the 2026–2030 legislative term. She secured her seat after placing 23rd on the coalition's closed electoral list.
According to Colombian media, the Historic Pact emerged as the country's strongest political force in the Senate elections, winning more than 4.4 million votes, representing 22.72% of the total votes cast, and securing 25 seats.

. She has maintained that her past should not determine her ability to serve in public office.
Omaña has also advocated for stronger legal recognition and protections for people working in the adult entertainment industry, arguing that those involved in the sex industry contribute to Colombia's economy and should not face discrimination because of their previous careers.
Responding to critics in a TikTok video after her election, she asked:
"Why can't a woman who was in the adult industry aspire to a popularly elected office?"
Beyond championing the rights of adult entertainment workers, Omaña says her legislative priorities include improving mental health services and strengthening measures to prevent sexual abuse.
Her rise to Parliament follows an earlier controversial appointment to Colombia's Ministry of Equality, where she and fellow former pornstar Juan Carlos Florián were appointed deputy ministers under President Gustavo Petro's administration, a move that generated widespread public debate.
Omaña's swearing-in has become one of the most closely watched political developments in Colombia in recent years, reigniting discussions about public service, personal history, and the qualifications required to hold elected office.
