Western North Region — Police have arrested 23-year-old palm wine tapper Numatekpor Kwaku, popularly known as “On God,” in connection with a deadly fire attack at Bibiani Subrinkwanta.
Authorities say the suspect allegedly set his girlfriend’s family house on fire after the family reportedly forbade him from continuing the relationship with their daughter, a student.
The blaze tragically killed three people:
Benedicta Kudjo Felicia (19) – student of Queen Senior High School
Maame Mary Oppong (61) – her mother
Dora Adoma Kudjo (22)
Reports indicate the family had warned the suspect to stay away from Felicia because she was still in school. The suspect allegedly threatened to burn the house if they refused to allow the relationship to continue.
Police have confirmed the suspect is currently in custody, while investigations into the suspected revenge arson continue.
