A High Court has issued an injunction halting the planned “Celebration of Life” event connected to Lumba, following a legal challenge from the Ekuona Royal Family of Parkoso and Nsuta.
The court order restrains all organisers, agents, and affiliated individuals from proceeding with any activities under the event theme, effectively shutting down all preparations.
In a firm warning, legal representatives stated that any attempt to ignore or bypass the injunction will be treated as contempt of court, carrying potential legal consequences.
According to a press statement released by Baba Jamal and Associates on behalf of the family, several individuals have been specifically named in the order. These include Nana Yaw Akosa (Papa Shee), Akosua Serwaa Schindler (Fosuh), Ernestina Fosuh (Brempomaa), and Wofa Yaw Poku, along with their agents.
The development has now shifted attention from the event itself to the unfolding legal battle, as questions grow over what triggered the court action and whether the event will be permanently cancelled or rescheduled under new terms.
