Scam Alert: Beware of Fake Loan Offers! I "Almost fell victim"-King Muba Reveals

Dear Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well. As a fellow student and beneficiary of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), I feel compelled to share a concerning discovery with you all.

Recently, I came across a message claiming to be from the SLTF, offering an "XpressLoan scheme" where students could borrow up to GHS 55,000 and repay within 24 months with a 1% monthly interest rate. This message included a link to apply for the loan. However, upon closer inspection and verification with official SLTF sources, it has become clear that this is a scam.

The SLTF has issued warnings about such fraudulent activities. They have emphasized that they are not affiliated with any Xpress Loan Scheme and do not recognize such organizations. It's crucial for us to stay vigilant and not fall prey to these scams.

Here are some red flags to watch out for:

- Unsolicited Loan Offers: Be cautious of unexpected loan offers, especially those that seem too good to be true.

- Suspicious Links: Do not click on links from unverified sources. They could lead to phishing sites designed to steal your personal information.

- Requests for Personal Information: Legitimate organizations will not ask for sensitive information through unsecured channels.

If you receive any such messages, please do not respond or click on any links. Verify the authenticity of any loan offer directly with the SLTF before taking any action. And most importantly, report any suspicious activity to the SLTF to help protect our community.

Let's work together to keep our campuses safe from scammers.

Stay safe,

King Muba(My Boss)
